Wesley Warren Jr., an African-American male, appeared on the Howard Stern show recently and revealed he suffered from a condition that had caused his scrotum to swell to 100 pounds.
This may sound like a gag, but it falls in the "strange, but true" department, as scrotal lymphedema is a real condition that can be extremely unpleasant for men suffering from it.

Dr. Joel Gelman, director of the Center for Reconstructive Urology in southern California, says that with scrotal lymphedema, "swelling of the tissue in the scrotum occurs between the skin and the testicles.

"Tissue fluid, called lymph, normally gets reabsorbed, but when this does not happen normally, it accumulates,” Gelman continues. “When this involves the scrotum, it can lead to massive enlargement. The scrotum can get so large that the penis and opening at the tip of the penis (where urine exits) can become buried. This is associated with obesity.”

Warren, who lives in Las Vegas, described his condition as having advanced to this painful state. He's able to walk, though it’s an unbearable task. Warren went public about his condition to seek financial assistance that will allow him to undergo an operation to correct his condition.

Gelman adds, "We have performed this surgery with excellent results. The cost at U.C. — Irvine, for an uninsured man who meets certain financial criteria indicating no available coverage, including all hospital and surgeon fees, is far less than 1/10 of the $1,000,000 suggested price for this surgery.”
Gelman also says that waiting to lose weight before undergoing the surgery might allow the mass to grow even larger.
